Mega Meg Makes History with Chris Mcormick at Seal Beach Tri

Seal Beach Triathlon:

"Its off season.  What better time to have fun participating in an event on a beach I grew up on?!  Love supporting good folks putting on a local race for a great cause!  That race was so well organized and more importantly so much fun!" says Monroy after setting local history with fellow triathlete Chris Macormick, Ironman world champion.  Chris, aka, Macca, was the first to cross the finish line and Monroy just 4 minutes behind and 3rd overall was the first female to cross the line.  This was the first triathlon Seal Beach has seen since 1987.  Monroy's Dad, Rusty was one of these athletes to compete in the 1987 triathlon, as seen below cheering Monroy across the finish line.  Megan's other biggest fan, her Mother Teri is pictured below  as she high-fives Megan across the finish line.
