A powerful force for the 2010 season, Megan grabs 1st Place overall age group female at Wildflower Olympic Triathlon 2010

May 2, 2010-TheWildflower Olympic Distance Triathlon held at Lake San Antonio, CA, Monroy flies through the finish line 1^st place overall "age group" female (also first in her age division) and 4^th place overall female (behind 3 collegiate competitors) with a final time of 2:26:56.  Light wind gusts on the cycle and less than smooth swim conditions didn’t stop Megan from dropping 10 minutes off her last year's finishing time. Going into the race, Megan set her sights on a top 10 overall finish, knowing how strong the ladies field would be.  She says “I didn’t expect this at all, and especially how close I came to getting my pro card- a measly 38 seconds faster and one overall place would have done the trick.”

The college girls came out in force this year clenching top 1, 2, and 3 overall female finishes with times of 2:25:24, 2:25:28 and 2:26:19.
