About Megan

Surfer, Prone Paddler, Triathlete, Cyclist, Water Skiier, Kite Boarder. 

Born and raised in Southern California.

In her early years, Megan found a true passion for the ocean, began surfing and became an ocean lifeguard.  She spent her high school years in competitive swimming, water polo, and surfing. While attending college in San Diego, she surfed competitively while earning a 4 year degree in Psychology.

Finding Triathlon

In 2006 she fractured a vertebrae in a surf accident and began swimming again for rehabilitation where she rekindled her passion for swimming. Friends introduced her to the idea of triathlon racing.  She then purchased her first bike and started training blindly for her very first race in 2008.

Racing and Beyond

Racing and training have lead her to multiple top finishes and numerous opportunities of adventure in travel/training.  She earned her pro card in triathlon racing after a couple years in the sport. During that time she also raced competitively in cycling.  In 2016 Megan began prone paddling and crossed the Catalina Channel in the Rock2Rock race in June of 2016.  The summer of 2016 she also learned kiteboarding and started water skiing.
